Temps Perdu

Revisiting negatives after more than fifty years led to a reacquaintance with the few that were printed, becoming reaware of those thought interesting but passed over, and discovering others that emerge from the scans - an exploration of the photographic subconscious. The resulting selection has some historical and social value, but most of the included photos stand on their own merits. These were published as a photobook - Temps Perdu, 2025, from which an edit is presented here. All photos are Copyright © John Beeching.
