Pasos Perdidos

In the mid 1970's I travelled and worked in Latin America. These photos are a selection from my personal work of that period. Most are of poor working people: mostly indigenous or the descendants of enslaved people. I always tried to respect their dignity and way of life. However, I recognise that as a young white man with an expensive camera I could be perceived as exploiting my position of privilege; certainly that was not my intention and I hope these photos speak for themselves. A book with an extended selection can be found via About and Sales. These photos are Copyright © of John Beeching.
